SQF Certified (Level 2)
Safe Quality Food program is a leading, globally recognized Food Safety & Quality certification and management system. SQF ensures that the highest possible standards in food safety & food quality are maintained throughout the manufacturing process delivering increased consumer confidence and loyalty to our gourmet products.
USDA
Our meat products are inspected for wholesomeness daily by an inspector from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA).
In accordance with USDA regulations, we have a Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) Plan to ensure that each of our meat products is free of biological, chemical and physical hazards.
FDA
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulates our non-meat products. In accordance with FDA regulations, we have a Seafood HACCP Plan for each of our seafood items.
Military
Because our products are consumed on military bases, the United States Army performs an inspection of our facility twice a year. Our plan consistently meets the Army's rigorous sanitation standards.
City and State
Don's facility procedures and products are subject to periodic random evaluation by the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture.
Ko Certification
All our cream cheeses are koshered under the Ko symbol.
Independent Audits from Third Party Companies
We have received "Gold" Certificate of Recognition from leading international network of accredited food testing and consulting labs. Don's has been found to have an acceptable program for maitaining and improving its food safety and quality practices.
